2015, the year our story took place and the stage for an unfortunate event that

Would change the life of a high schooler with an extraordinary and unbeatable imagination.

Nobody knew what was the guy’s name, neither his mere existence but,

He didn’t seem to bother.

While others played sports or hung out at the mall, he spent his time creating worlds and

Heroes from his sketchbook. From Tibetan monks to Cyber Ninjas,

Monsters to Meta Humans, even living dead, are part of his insane universe.

His favorite creation though was “Yolk”, a wonky paperboy who is a nimble martial fighter

In his free time. He was known as “The Gibbon Kid”.

One day, the boy’s life took a tragic turn one stormy night. On his way home

From a comic convention, he was caught in a terrible accident. As he lay on the ground,

His life fading away, he clutched his sketchbook, thinking about Yolk and the stories he

Would never finish.

When he opened his eyes, the boy found himself in what it seems like his hometown at first

However, something was off. The building have little dots as their coloring, the people

Walking down the streets have varied appearances, shapes and sizes and besides having

Also, no human Critters living in perfect harmony with them. But the odd thing of all,

There was a white rectangle upon his head that is written:

“Topaz2 , California”

As he saw the information that quickly fades away in a blink of the eye,

The boy was having a déjà vu of something that he wasn’t able to remember at the moment.

As he wanders around the downtown that looked like a graffiti painting,

He looked in a store’s showcase and notices

That he was his own main character from his comic: Yolk.

Green shirt with an orange stripe, a white hat that resembles an ape’s head and

His face, that now features black stick eyes and an orange rectangle as his nose,

Exactly how he had drawn him on his past life.

The guy now called “Yolk” wonder to himself if it was an illusion, or a virtual reality,

But that surreal dystopic world was real.

He indeed had rebirth as his own character on his own comic world.

When he noticed something ringing at the pocket of his pants,

It was from someone called “James Rodriguez”, who reveals to be his boss.

So he quickly rushed to somewhere private where he changed to his ordinary civilian look

Driving his motorcycle, still trying to process what is going on in his surroundings.

Some hours later of delivering some papers, Yolk went to the beach 

Where he could relax and try to understand what everything that is happening

In front of him. As the tides leaves siren melodies in the air, the gibbon kid starts

Realizing some similarities to his past. He had a flat job after his school time,

Some kung fu abilities he just had learned during his free time

And finally, his awkward way of acting in front of most people.

When he was about to head somewhere, he could claim as his home,

The Gibbon Kid witness his red motorcycle being stolen by a gang of deviant mice people

Making him so mad to make him deliver some kicks and knuckles on the face of

Those rotten rodents. One of the rats refuse to told their boss’s hideout,

Nevertheless, Yolk had no time for cheap talk and decided to

Do a research tough the city’s sewer where he dialogues with other

Meta human thugs who also worked for the mice gang

Until he researches to a luxurious mansion with a big 8-ball on top of it.

As he enters the palace, he founded who just has orchestrated that incident.

It was from “Kaizer Mauz”, a tall man with shades wearing yellow pants and coat

Who said to be the leader of the mafia besides

Being the owner of a motorsport black market. As much as the man with to retreat,

The fighter with a monkey hat won’t leave without his price so

He began an epic and violent showdown against the man who

Uses a cyan boomerang which is also a pipe to call out every rat to cover his back.

After a though battle, Yolk manages to defeat Kaizer with a powerful suplex slam,

Making him explode in a wave of golden and silver pennies.

Upon his head was written:

“K. O! Yolk Wins!”

He was confused after the message fades away so he just grab his bike

And got out of here while this mansion ended up in ruins.

One thing that Yolk didn’t know was that someone what watching and recording the

Entire fight. It looked like a mechanical Shinobi who witness everything

To inform to his boss, one of his servants has taken down.

It looked like someone was behind Mauz’s acts. Furthermore, that mysterious person

Wanted something to do with Yolk.

On the next day, the orange nosed marvel woke up and while enjoy

Some breakfast, the news on the TV is reporting about the Rat mafia’s mansion

Where he got his motorcycle back. As the TV statics for a while,

A formal man with an orange spiked pomp and wearing only a blank mask

With a question mark in the center, informs that Yolk was a traitor to his meta human

Training program, and he said that whoever caught him dead or alive

Can have a mysterious book as a reward.

That mysterious book was in fact Yolk’s comic book titled “Gibbon”,

Which he medially remembers that it was the one he leaves incomplete on his past life.

It says that, whoever draws on this book, can change the fate of the universe and future.

As the day passes, Yolk meet new friends, as well as some foes.

He delivers papers for everyone in the neighborhood and in the town,

However, when the night comes, he’s an outlaw hero with a thirst for justice.

What would he do now, knowing that there’s a league of buddy hunters

After him? Does being reincarnated as his original character worth it?

A lot of questions and a lot to struggle answering them all.

But one thing is right: no matter what enemy comes to ruin his day, whatever

If it is tall or short, human or monster, or even a random inexplicable phenomenon,

only the Gibbon Kid is capable of writing a good end for his unfinished story.
